What if...? Part 4

Updated: Jan 28

What is Your Heart Telling You
What is Your Heart Telling You

Last week we discussed “What if we were to take just 10% more responsibility for our life?

Did you notice any similarities with the answers you wrote in your notebook?

·        Let’s take a minute to write down anything we think is connected

Now what if we were willing to take action and committed to one of the things on our list?  It doesn’t have to be huge…it could be as simple as taking half an hour in our room by ourself if we wrote more time for ourself. What if we wrote it down and repeated it out loud and made ourself accountable for this one thing?

It is taking action, not what we know, that will make the difference.

"Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth" 1 John 3:18

What if we asked ourself these seven questions, if we thought it could help us:

1.  What part of my life, is not working as well as I would like it to be?

2.  Am I permitting or creating this to happen and how?

3.  Is there anything that I am doing that I need to be doing less of?

4.  What am I currently doing, that is working, and that I could be doing more of?

5.  Is there something else that I could try to see if it might work?

6.  What am I committed to doing as a result of this exercise?

7.  When will I start making this positive change?

Use your notebook to write down your answers.

Here is an example:

1.  What part of my life, is not working as well as I would like it to be?

My weight and exercise program…I gained 40 pounds

2.  Am I permitting or creating this to happen and how?

I make excuses to do it later and then I watch TV and I get tired

3 Is there anything that I am doing that I need to be doing less of?

I need to quit making excuses and quit watching so much TV

4.  What am I currently doing, that is working, and that I could be doing more of?

I am walking a little bit and doing a few push-ups here and there

5.  Is there something else that I could try to see if it might work?

I could ask a friend to walk with me, then I couldn’t make excuses and I

could set a goal for myself and reward myself after I achieved my goal

6.  What am I committed to doing as a result of this exercise?

I am committed to quitting making excuses and watching so much TV

I am committed to asking a friend/partner/son/daughter…to exercise with me 3 times a week

And I am committed to walking a minimum of 15 minutes 3 times a week

7.  When will I start making this positive change?

I am committed to put my plans into action right now by calling my friend to set up an exercise schedule, during the times I watch the most tv, and I will walk the in between days.

8. Write it down!  Write down your commitment

What if we took action and committed to just one thing on our list today…wrote it down and said it out loud?

Therefore, prepare your mind for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:13

Freedom Comes from within, not without...Life was meant to be abundant...in all areas

I wish you a wonderful week filled with love, happiness, prosperity, kindness, and positivity.

With Gratitude,

Minister Leona Jo
